Hiroshima 2009
(71 images) - For the Fermi Collaboration Meeting, March 2-6.
We flew into Osaka KIX
airport and took the Shinkansen to Hiroshima (map). I stayed at the
Rihga Royal Hotel; the meetings were held at the conference
center adjacent to the Peace Museum. On the way out, we returned to
Osaka to find our flight canceled, requiring a run to Tokyo to fly out
of Narita. While in Hiroshima we visited the Peace Park
& Museum
and Miyajima island.
The Peace Park and Museum are heart-wrenching.
